Linux, RHEL, Gentoo
Daily driving Gentoo on my main machine and Red Hat certified for the server side. Comfortable with system administration, shell scripting, kernel-level tuning, and process management.
High school student in Algiers running a Red Hat certified, Docker-based homelab and building open-source tooling around the things I listen to.
About
I'm a high school student based in Algeria with a long-running interest in Linux, self-hosting, and systems administration. What started as curiosity about how things work under the hood has grown into a fully operational homelab: a personal infrastructure playground where I learn by doing.
I hold a Red Hat Enterprise Linux certification and continue to expand my skills in containerization, networking, and server management. My server runs as both a homelab and a personal VPS, hosting more than ten self-hosted services orchestrated through Docker and exposed through Caddy as a reverse proxy.
I want to turn this into a career in systems administration or DevOps.
Skills
Daily driving Gentoo on my main machine and Red Hat certified for the server side. Comfortable with system administration, shell scripting, kernel-level tuning, and process management.
Composing multi-container stacks, managing volumes and networks, and deploying self-hosted applications at home and in the cloud.
Working with hypervisors and VM management to isolate workloads and test new environments without disrupting production services.
Hands-on with DNS, reverse proxies (Caddy), TLS certificates, VLANs, and exposing services securely over the public internet.
Managing a personal server in production: updates, security hardening, uptime monitoring, and deploying web-facing services.
Running a full suite of self-hosted alternatives: media server, download management, monitoring, password vault, and more.
Projects
A self-hosted server I run for personal needs. It hosts more than ten containerized services including media streaming (Jellyfin, Plex), automated media management (Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr, Prowlarr), a password vault, and more. All services sit behind Caddy with automatic HTTPS and are reachable from anywhere.
A public Minecraft server running on homelab hardware and managed through Crafty Controller. Handles server lifecycle, player management, and backups, all containerized and served on a dedicated subdomain.
An open-source tool that listens to vinyl playback through the microphone, identifies tracks using audio fingerprinting against the MusicBrainz database, and scrobbles the recognized songs to Last.fm automatically. The goal is to bring vinyl listening into the modern music-tracking ecosystem without manual logging.
